Codenames is a popular party game where two teams compete as enemy spy networks aiming to contact all of their own secret agents. This award-winning game is celebrated for its simple mechanics that requires concentration from players but is fun to play. Although the original Codenames game is best enjoyed by 2 to 8 players, you can now find XXL versions of the game which contain cards twice as large. This size increase makes the game more inclusive and can be a great option for bigger groups playing.

The creators of Codenames have also considered how people may want to play the game in a smaller group. Introducing Codenames Duet- all of the fun of Codenames but in a simple two player format for when it’s just the pair of you.

Following the popularity of the original Codenames game, there are now themed versions where you and your friends can play to uncover images from your favourite film or tv show. Choose betweenMarvel Codenames,Disney,The SimpsonsandHarry Potter. All of these choices include pictures, where your spymaster will have to describe a character in one word, such as Marge Simpson.
